The hair care sample kit has been given an upgrade. We've increased the size of the container on the shampoo and conditioners and added a hair butter sample to the mix.
Although there's beauty in your blackness, your skin is sensitive and needs protection from the sun just like everyone else. So if you know you're challenged by sunburn, add a few drops of Lavender essential oil to Jojoba and Grapeseed Oil and create a nice body oil for yourself. Boost your energy using essential oils?! If you're like most people moving about from work to whatever other activities you have, there are times when your energy level can tank. How do you manage to stay alert without overdosing on caffeine? Does too much caffeine make you jittery?
Working with essential oils has taught me, that the beauty of their use for scenting, as well as their ability to lift your mood when you need to be alert. Using them for stressful times ... can be awesome. If you've ever worked with essential oils, you’ve developed an affinity for using certain ones over and over again.
You also know that your pallet will mature and your choice of oils will change from time to time. However, when it comes to uplifting oils that can replace the punch of a cup of coffee or black tea, they’ve got to be good … really good.
I've used 5 essential oils consistently throughout the years to create blends that make great partners for road trips and pick-me-ups. Let''s take a look at them and see how they fair.
5 Essential Oils Known to Boost Your Energy
Lemongrass essential oil is known for its ability to refresh and stimulate the mind. That alone should have Lemongrass at the top of your list. It's the secret for some people who have trouble getting started in the mornings. All it takes is for you to open a bottle of lemongrass, take a deep breathe and you'll see what I mean.
It has an intense, radiant energy that’s cool and stimulating. It's an oil that’s known to stimulate left brain and aids in your logical thinking process. So, if you’re in need of a pick me up at work, a diffuser with lemongrass in your office or conference room can be beneficial when fresh thinking and good concentration is required.
Lemongrass blends well with rosemary, lavender, lime, geranium and Swiss pine.
Rosemary essential oil is a strong and clear scent. It improves your mental clarity and strengthens your nervous system. It provides support in stressful conditions as well as when you feel sluggish and are challenged with mental fatigue.
Rosemary can aid in concentration and centering and is often used during meditation and or study sessions. That's also the beauty of essential oils, an oil that can boost energy can also calm the mind. Go figure!
Rosemary acts as an oil that uplifts as well as stimulates the brain. It blends well with mint, bergamot, lemongrass, basil and juniper.
Ginger is an essential oil that can make you feel grounded and ready to take action in life. It's an excellent oil for maintaining your energy levels. Ginger is known to stimulate the nerves that will keep you alert and revitalized to get the job done.
Ginger blends well with orange, bergamot, grapefruit and mandarin essential oils.
Peppermint essential oil cools your emotions, anger and nervousness. It energizes and relieves mental fatigue. Peppermint is also known to calm and soothe muscles as well as counteract drowsiness and fatigue by increasing alertness and promoting clear thinking.
Its minty aroma is excellent for boosting both mental and physical vitality. It blends well with orange, bergamot, mandarin, lemon and grapefruit. Basil and lavender essential oils can be added to this list as emotional balance oils.
Orange essential oil is known to balance emotions. It can either stimulate or relax as needed. If you're looking for a way to avoid perfectionism, overwork or mental overexertion, it might be a good idea to pass a bottle of orange oil past your nose. You can also add a few drops to a diffuser along with some rosemary and enjoy the beauty of the blend.
Orange oil blends well with coriander, cinnamon, ylang-ylang, sandalwood and neroli.

With any one of these oils or a combination of them, I like to create a spray mist that I travel with in my car. Whenever I'm feeling a bit sluggish, I simply mist my car and create an entirely new environment.

3 droops of Lemon essential oil 3 drops of Rosemary essential oil 3 drops of Peppermint essential oil
This quick boosting blend can be used in your diffuser for office or home use. You can use the same oils and create a spray mist for your car.
By adding oils like lemon, basil and lavender, you can build upon the benefits and beauty of the essential oils in this article.
