Find your ultimate beauty with a natural black skin care routine. Everyone's skin is different and can benefit from a daily skin care routine. A new study has revealed that people perceive darker skin tones to look more attractive. It's about time! Don't you think?
All of a sudden it's beneficial to have darker complexions. Your beautiful black skin contains a high amount of melanin compared to lighter skin, so it is often prone to discoloration. Your skin has many unique structural properties. Itchy skin, dry skin, looses moisture and has lower pH in the outer layer of your skin.
According to some researchers, black skin loses moisture quicker than lighter skins. You can often avoid it by using a good moisturizer daily that contains hyaluronic acid and glycerin.
In a nut shell, here are some conditions that your skin may experience;
Your skin is the largest organ and the protective organ of your body. Natural beauty products are best if you find the right formulation. However, following a good skin care routine and choosing natural/organic products, you can help your skin look healthier than ever before.
Finding the best skin care routine for your skin, using natural products, can be a bit more challenging than you think. Even though dark skin beauties are becoming prominent in magazines and on runways, there are still challenges.
So how do you keep it simple and enhance your beauty? You start with 3 products:
Cleansing:
Cleaning must be done regularly since your skin can often be affected by whiteheads and blackheads. Therefore, a daily routine can help your black skin beautiful and help maintain its glow. You will begin to notice changes within yourself.
Using a gentle cleanser, one that's cream based, will help keep your skin soft and smooth. Typically, you should select a cleanser according to your skin type. When budget won't permit, cream based cleansers will work.
When selecting by skin type, the best way to do this is to pay close attention to the product label before buying. For example, for dry skin, salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide can be harmful. Aside from these, a cleanser must not contain alcohol, fragrance, propylene glycol, and dyes. If you see these ingredients, they should not be in the top 5 positions.
Toner:
A toner is a liquid that gives hydration to your skin and balances the pH level. We were taught, that it helps to remove dirt stuck into the pores that a cleanser didn't remove. A wise teacher once said, "If you clean the skin properly, you will not rely on the toner as a second cleanser". Applying a toner on dark skin can tighten the pores and reduce oiliness. You use your toner twice a day after cleansing.
When choosing a toner, you should consider your skin type as well. Avoiding toners that contain heavy amounts of alcohol is best no matter the skin type. Choose a toner with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory ingredients, such as rosewater for normal skin or cucumber for acne/oily skin. Some people think they do not need toner, but it will be super beneficial when caring for your skin.
Moisturizer:
A good moisturizer is a key component for your black skin care routine. It can help to protect your skin's barrier and provide hydration that maintains healthy skin. Your beautiful Black skin loses moisture quickly, so choose a moisturizer containing moisturizing oils, glycerin and hyaluronic acid. There are many moisturizers available in the market for black skin. Consider your skin type while buying one.
Exfoliants:
Exfoliants can make your skin smooth by removing dryness, dead cells, and flakiness. Oftentimes a good exfoliant is all you need to get an even skin tone. As dark skin beauties, exfoliating your skin once a week, definitely no more than twice, will help your brightness shine through. Exfoliants give your skin smoothness and allows some of you to get rid of dark marks as well.
Serums:
A serum is a lightweight moisturizer that helps to treat inflammation and other skin care challenges. For some, it can be a beauty product that you can live without. However, I wouldn't recommend it. Serums can actually be a secret weapon for darker skin tones. They contain active ingredients that visibly change and enhance black skin. Depending on why you're using a serum, you can use them morning and/or night.
Serums that contain vitamin C and vitamin B3 are known to brighten your complexion. Brightening is different from bleaching. Make sure that your serums or creams don't contain hydroquinone. It's banned in most countries, yet made plentiful in those countries with darker populations.
Because of our melanin content, as dark skin beauties, we are prone to some skin discoloration, naturally. Enhance your natural beauty.
Finding ultimate beauty, with a natural black skin care routine, is key to the health of your skin. There are hundreds of products coming to market vying for your attention. Tread waters lightly when choosing one. Make sure the company has your best interest in mind and not just trying to get your money in their pockets.
You may not see the "quick" results using natural skin care products. Yet, overtime what you will see, is the beauty and transformation of your skin. It can take 30 to 60 days to see actual results of any natural skin care product. Follow the lead of Mother Nature, nothing is rushed, yet it's always on time.
That's it for this week. As always ...
